Charmi puts more emphasis on the actual characters and ongoing stories than simply giving you a collection of AI companions to chat with. There are characters built around relationships, fantasy scenarios, anime-inspired worlds, everyday conversations, and plenty of adult roleplay.
The memory system is one of the more interesting parts. Conversations can carry remembered details forward, so returning to a character doesn’t always feel like starting over. There’s more than text chat as well. Charmi supports AI-generated selfies and several image models, along with voice messages. Higher plans increase the available memory and monthly tokens, which can be spent on things like selfies and special scenes.
Pricing
Charmi has a free plan that gives you 10 messages to start, with up to 70 more available through daily check-ins. Free users can also create characters and custom personas, use voice messages and generate basic AI selfies.
Paid plans start with the 1-Year Starter Pass at $39/year ($3.25/month), which includes 1,500 base-model messages and 1,100 tokens per month. Standard costs $119/year ($9.92/month) with 6,000 messages and 3,500 monthly tokens, while Black costs $149/year ($12.42/month) and includes unlimited base-model messages, 4,000 monthly tokens, 12K context memory, and access to all available chat models.
Charmi also has a Token Shop if you need more than what’s included with your plan. Tokens can be purchased separately without a subscription, with packs starting at 1,000 tokens for $4.99. Larger packs offer a lower cost per token, and paid plans can receive additional token bonuses when topping up.
Is Charmi AI Worth It?
Charmi is worth checking out if roleplay and longer conversations matter more to you than simply generating companion pictures. There’s a lot to explore, but the character creator and personas also give you room to build something more specific when the existing characters aren’t what you’re looking for.
