Secret Desires gives you a lot of freedom when creating a partner.
You can customize gender, realistic or anime appearance, age, ethnicity, skin tone, hairstyle, hair and eye color, body type, voice, personality, hobbies, work, relationship dynamic, interests, conversation starter, and plenty of other details.
The interesting part is that many of these aren’t restricted to a handful of presets. Freeform fields let you describe what you have in mind using normal language, giving you more room to shape the character’s personality and behavior.
Characters aren’t locked after creation either. You can return to the editor and change their appearance, personality, relationship, interests, and other characteristics later.
And if one companion isn’t enough, character creation is free and unlimited. You can build as many partners as you want without spending Hearts each time.

Chat, Roleplay, Memory & Multiple AI Engines
Chat is where Secret Desires gets considerably deeper.
There are dedicated Texting and Roleplay modes, and the platform currently offers a large selection of AI engines with different costs and capabilities. Paid subscriptions also include specific engines with unlimited messaging that don’t consume Hearts, while more advanced reasoning engines can be accessed using Hearts per turn.
One detail we particularly like on paper is the messaging style. Supported engines can break their replies into several shorter messages instead of constantly sending one giant block of AI-generated text. It’s a small change, but one that could make casual conversations feel much closer to actually texting someone.
Memory plays a big role too. Memory Notes let you preserve important details manually, while Auto-Memory Notes can update as the relationship develops. Characters are also time-aware, giving conversations some connection to what’s happening in the present rather than existing in a permanent bubble.
Secret Desires also lets you edit, regenerate, rewind, or delete messages, so you’re never completely stuck with the direction a conversation takes.
Images, Live Images, Voice & Phone Calls

Paid memberships currently start at $7.99 per month, with higher plans increasing the number of included Hearts and unlocking additional unlimited chat engines. The Max plan costs $19.99 per month and includes 300 monthly Hearts alongside access to the engines and benefits included in the lower subscription levels.
Quarterly and yearly subscriptions are also available at discounted rates, and additional Heart packs can be purchased separately.
The important thing to understand is that Secret Desires effectively combines unlimited messaging with a credit system. Certain chat engines included with your subscription can be used without consuming Hearts, while premium reasoning models and media features use Hearts at different rates.
That means the value of a subscription will depend heavily on what you do. Someone mainly chatting with the unlimited engines can get a lot from their monthly plan, while frequent image and video generation will consume Hearts much faster.
Is Secret Desires AI Worth It?
Secret Desires AI certainly has an impressive feature list.
There are plenty of AI companion platforms that can chat and generate a few pictures. Secret Desires is trying to push considerably further by combining multiple chat engines, detailed character creation, persistent memory, images, short videos, voice messages, real-time calls, and proactive interactions around the same companion.
The $7.99 starting price also makes the paid experience fairly accessible, while Max at $19.99/month gives frequent users substantially more Hearts and access to the platform’s broader engine selection.
What we’re most interested in is how well all of these features work together in practice. Having 14 reasoning models and multiple image engines sounds impressive, but the quality of the conversations, memory, character consistency, image generation, Live Images, and phone calls ultimately matters more than the number of options on a feature list.
